Charlotte is on the Move

Since those first few steps on Thanksgiving Charlotte has been going going and going more and more everyday! There is no stopping her now folks, she is on the move. She is finally able to keep up with her brother and sister like she has been waiting so long to do. It is still hard for me to get used to. Sometimes I will walk by the playroom and there is Josh, Kate and Charlotte all walking around.....weird! My little baby is turning into a big girl and I know that in a blink of an eye before I know it I will turn around and she is going to be a little lady just like her big sister.

Turkey Day 2011

Well another holiday has come and gone and like always is was completely wonderful. Big news is my sweet Charlotte is walking! She took four steps the night before Thanksgiving and today she walked all the way from Mommy to Daddy, six whole steps! I am so proud of her, now she can finally really start keeping up with the twins like she has wanting to do for so long. And of course a little sad like Mommies always are when their babies reach yet another milestone, it feels like Charlotte is teasing me a bit. As if she is saying "look Mommy I am going to do it, I'm going to be big girl soon!" It really hit me hard to that in just five weeks I will have one one year old and two two year olds, oh I am getting tired just thinking about it.
It was a special Thanksgiving because not only was it Charlottes first but the kids new little cousin Craig's as well. All three of the our munchkins were able to enjoy some sort of the Thanksgiving feast and by the end of the night they were pretty exhausted. So to wrap up the day with a tradition I started last year, we bathed all the mashed potatoes off the babies then put them in their brand new Chistmas Pj's. Yayyyy we are so looking forward to a Christmas with three kids this year, what a fun holiday season this is going to be!

Winter is definitely in the air and it is getting chilly. Buuurrrrrr....we have to bundle up all the little ones at night. Today my best friend in the whole world came down to visit with the babies and I. I have known Taylor since we were both two! When we were tiny Taylor lived in the house directly across the street from me. Then she moved a whole four house down and that is where she stayed. We went to elementary, junior high and high school together. And is the one friend I have truly never lost touch with. Taylor is one of those friends that is you ever are lucky enough to come across in life you are truly blessed. She also is a very special person in my kids life too. She is a honorary Aunt, Auntie Tay. The kids love her. Josh always seems to come out of his shell when she is around, Kate lights up and is so comfortable with her that she even gets mad at her when she gets in trouble for being naughty, and Charlotte is just Charlotte and well Charlotte loves everyone. So today we had lunch together then took the kids to the park. We had to bundle them all up but even with a sweatshirt and a fleece coat Charlotte was still cold so you will see in a picture below we took my scarf and wrapped her all up, she ended up looking beautiful to me. Kate went down the slide for the first time all by herself with no help! And then Josh being his goofy self figured out that laying on his belly and going down backwards was so much more fun :)

Craig Micheal Seyler

My nephew was born today and he is completely perfect and beautiful. My brother Steve and my Sister In-Law are the proud new parents and baby Craig hit the jack pot when it comes to having an amazing Mom and Dad. What a blessing it is to have a cousin for Josh, Kate and Charlotte so close in age. In fact Charlotte and Craig will share there first Thanksgiving and Christmas together. And Josh maybe a little young to understand now but very soon he will appreciate a BOY cousin, someone to do BOY things with! I have had three babies myself but I never fail to forget just how tiny they are when they are born. I am in love with all his tiny little features from his tiny nose, fingers and toes. Craig is so very much loved by so many already. And the best part is I am finally a Aunt and now for the spoiling to begin!

A Little Bit of Everything

It is hard to believe and I try not to think about it but my Charlotte is ten months old now. Which means in just a matter of weeks my baby will be one! And if that wasn't bad enough the twins are tinkering on two in just a few weeks as well. And for them that means full blown toddlers now. Oh my time with them as babies is going by all too fast. Charlotte been doing all sorts of new things over the past couple months. She is the fastest little crawler around and she gets into everything! She is the most curious little baby out of all my kids. And she doesn't let anything stop her when she wants something. Her determination to get what she wants is like nothing I have ever seen before, which makes for a very exhausted mommy chasing her down everywhere. Walking is in the very near future for Charlotte. Pulling up, cruising on the couch and coffee table and even letting go and standing for a bit on her own. She walks everywhere around the house with her toy walker, she gets so excited she just wants to run already. Charlotte is fearless. She is also growing so much, even though the doctor did inform me all my babies are peanuts. Charlotte was only in the 9 percentile for weight at the time a few weeks ago she was weighing just under 18lbs. But she does fit in 12 month and some 18 month old clothes which is what Kate wears so to me Charlotte is a bit of a giant. But I guess to the rest of the world just average size which is perfectly ok with me. The only thing that hasn't changed much on Charlotte is her hair, my little girl is still a baldy! But patients and before I know it she will have a full head of gorgeous hair. Until then I kind of enjoy the fact that it makes her look like a baby for just a little longer.
Now Josh and Kate look like little toddlers now. It is so much fun being able to communicate with them now just like little people. Kate loves to copy everything I do from sweeping, laundry and vacuuming. She is a extremely slow eater but loves food. Kate is so good at using her spoon and feeding herself. It is pretty cute to see somebody so tiny using their spoon so very carefully to feed themselves. Her favorite time of day is bath time, she loves to splash and play in the tub, followed by brushing her teeth and getting her hair blow dried. Kate is a very happy little toddler now and when she smiles her eyes twinkle and her eyes look like little half moons with a cute giggle to go along with it, she just melts my heart.
Josh is such a easy going and laid back boy. I don't know what I would do without him. He is into stacking blocks and all his much loved and favorite stuffed animal friends. He still loves playing ball with Dad but most of all he might just be the most ticklish kid I have ever met! I have definitely been blessed with three happy and beautiful babies. I pretty sure that I hit the Mommy jackpot when it comes to kids!
We wrapped up the month of October and started the month of November with a few fun things. First off Halloween. The munchkins are still a bit tiny to take out trick or treating but we had so much fun carving pumpkins with them. Even though I did get handed the job of bathing them and oh there was so much pumpkin on them from head to toe, but so worth the fun. We also celebrated a much deserved promotion for Kurt. And it was so special to actually get to take the whole family down to his work and pin his new rank on. In the past he as always been deployed or training so I treasured the day. I am so proud of him in every way, he is a amazing husband, father and Marine. And finally we enjoyed a relaxing weekend. Saturday it was kind of a girl thing. While the boys were at home watching football myself, Kate, Charlotte and Grandma took a walk around the lake and played at the park. We did have a Minie Mouse (Katelyns Favorite toy) disaster, she was lost on the walk. But Grandma takes the Grandma of the year award and went to lengths you wouldn't even believe if I told you to get her back. Then Sunday was a perfect rainy day Sunday which meant Pjs, cuddles and movies in our house.

The Pumpkin Patch 2011

Kurt is finishing up his two week vacation he took this month and we have had such a great time. We have a great time just relaxing and enjoying our first Fall season in our beautiful new home. We even got away for a fun weekend to Las Vegas with our brother and sister in-law. Who are the kind of people who know how to have a great time in Vegas. Our trip involved a amazing suit at the new Cosmopolitan hotel, private cabanas by the pool, some awesome food and drinks and to top it off Jimmy Buffet at the MGM. Which was a first for Kurt but definitely not a last now. Since we have been home though we have been enjoying some really great family time with our three adorable munchkins. Today it was the pumpkin patch. My favorite pumpkin patches were always Tanaka Farms and Irvine Park pumpkins patches. So I will admitt I was a little bummed when I thought about having to find a new one since we moved. But to my great great great surprise I found one that actually topped those two. We went to Petlzer Farms only about 15 mins from our house smack dab in the the middle of wine country. We went towards the end of the day so the weather was so cool and crisp just how you imagine Fall to be. The sky was orange from the sun setting and the whole farm is surrounded by gorgeous vineyards and structures for wine tasting. To top off the beautiful scenery they strung old fashion lights and a giant pumpkin on top of the hill like a cherry on top of a Sunday. Oh and did I mention the corn maze? Yup a picture perfect corn maze. Really this pumpkin patch was something out of a magazine. I am pretty sure I will need to take another trip there before Halloween. Especially since I arrived at the farm and realized my battery to my camera was almost dead, arrgggghh!! I think I only got about 20 pictures, which is nothing compared to my 100, hahaha. So yes a second trip is a must for us.
