Splash Park

What a fun day we had at Grandma and Grandpa's community splash park. Katelyn loved it right away! Josh took just a little while but once he warmed up he was all about splashing around. All three kids also went for a swim in the pool, the twins were having fun dunking there face under water and Katelyn was kicking all around. I think we have a couple little swimmers on our hands, which is fine with me because I love the pool! Charlotte also had a lot of fun in the pool, but I knew she would because her absolute favorite time of day is bath time, she just loves splashing and kicking with her sister in the bath. Even though it takes easily a hour and a half (and I am not exaggerating) to pack, get kids suited up, then sun screened up and finding time to get mom and dad ready as well we had a blast and it was totally worth it .But I have to say my favorite part of the day is when we bathed the kiddos when we came home, got them in there pj's, gave them dinner ,then they were out for the night so super early! Date night for Mom and Dad yayyyy :) Even if it is just a movie and take out at home, it was nice.

Happy Sweet Six Months Charlotte

I wanted to post a few days earlier but I haven't had the time. Charlotte girl turned six months old 5 days ago. That is a half a year!!! Oh my goodness where has the time gone? Her six month appointment isn't for another week but by our at home measurements she is 16.4 pounds which will put her anywhere in the 50-75 percentile depending on her length . Charlotte is rolling all over the place from tummy to back and back to tummy. She maneuvers herself in circles to reach all her toys and she even popped up on her back knees today and is threatening to crawl. For about a month now Charlotte has just been dying to crawl. When she is on her tummy she kick kick kicks her back legs just begging for them to take her somewhere. It must be hard to watch your siblings using their legs and going wherever they want to go so freely whenever they please. Charlotte is also doing some serious teething the poor little girl. About 50% of the time she has her little hand is in her mouth and the other 50% she is trying to find relief through toys. I got desperate last week and went out and bought about five different teether toys and thank goodness I found a few she is really liking. I am also keeping a stock pile of baby Motrin in the kitchen as well as every bathroom in the house, it works miracles for her. But even with all that teething Charlotte is still the happiest baby in the world, all smiles all the time for our Charlotte. Mommy and Daddy love you so much.
