Introducing Miss Penelope Taylor Diaz born August 28th, 12:51pm weighing 6lbs 4oz. It is yet another perfect little princess for the Diaz family and we could not be any happier. Since the day she was born Penelope has been nothing but a joy. Kurt especially can not stop gushing over this little girl. And you might have noticed that yes there was a name change. While I still thought Lily was a cute name, Penelope is a name that I have always loved and adored since hearing it years ago. And I thought since this is my last daughter I am just going to go for it and name her the name I love. It is not a name you hear often but I think it is unique, spunky and cute and I have already received a ton of compliments on it :)
Penelope was delivered via scheduled c-section at Mission Hospital which is special since everyone in our family including Kurt and I have been born there. It was a wonderful experience. I got to hold her right after she was born and snuggle her the whole time I was in recovery. This by far was the easiest recovery of all my c-sections. I was up walking around and feeling myself in no time. With three little toddlers waiting for us at home I know that god blessed me with an easy recovery so I could get back to my other little munchkins quicker.
Speaking of our other little munchkins they are doing great. They absolutely love their new little sister. Kate wakes up every morning and ask "wheres the baby?" And they all love giving her kisses. Even though she has only been with us just two weeks I can not imagine life with out Penelope, she fits absolutely perfect of our now BIG family! Kurt and I feel absolutely blessed and thank god every day for the four BEAUTIFUL children we have.
I saw a really cute little saying today that I just loved and related to it quite a bit since I get the comment that I must have my hands full almost daily when people see me with all my little ones. It said "If you think I have my hands full you should see my heart" I love it! My heart is absolutely over flowing with love for all of our babies. Kurt and I are both enjoying every second of our Penelope because one thing that we have learned is that babies grow up way to fast and babies are truly nothing less then a miracle. Everything from the miracle of carrying them for nine months inside you to their tiny little hands and feet to the way they are half of you and half the person you love so much your spouse. I swear you blink and they are walking is talking. So I just find myself staring at her and rocking her during her early morning feedings. Many might be surprised but that has always been my favorite time with the babies. Early in the morning, when it is still dark and then we catch the sun coming up and watch all the Daddies on their way to work, while we are snugly in our pajamas. These are the things in life that matter, four babies later and that is what I have learned, it is the special little moments in life you remember always.
