Ok I know this post is looonnnggg over due but I am just going to have to pull a excuse card. I am a month and half away from giving birth to baby number four with three kids under the age of three at home that seem to be demanding more and more of any spare time I have during the day. Right now in a nutshell my life is doctors appointments since the count down to baby girl has offically began, toddler bed transitions (actually was not bad at all!), potty training, teething (Charlotte) and keeping up with my every so curious and energetic toddlers. So those are my excuses for letting my blog slip under the radar for a few weeks, I think they are pretty good ones, yes?
So as for baby number four we have finally settled on a name, her name will be Lily and Lily will be here end of August by yet another c-section for me. Lily is running right on schedule, is in the 50th percentile for just about everything and is a super active baby at night. In fact I have been getting very little sleep thanks to her punches, kicks and summersaults. I think she must just be trying to mentally prepare me for what is to come with the nighttime feedings and all. But it is ok Lily I am more the aware of what is to come, let Mommy sleep now please!
As for the other munchkins they are doing great as well. Kate is talking up a storm these days and her new favorite word is Mommy. Mommy Mommy Mommy Mommy....yes Katelyn ummmm....Hi.....repeat. Thank goodness the second Kurt gets home it is Daddy Daddy Daddy that we hear, so I get a bit of a break. Kate is also about the best little helper in the whole world. I know this will only last so long so I am eating it up now. She loves to sweep the floors with her very own broom set and throw everyones trash away after we eat. Love my Kate Kate.
Charlotte is like always on the go all the time! She is into everything, super curious and always on the move. For someone so tiny she is sure hard to catch sometimes. Charlotte is now 1 1/2 and thinks everything in life is just funny and she is so carefree. Kurt and I often say we wish a doggy passing by the house brought us as much joy like it does to Charlotte, that would be awesome. Charlotte is also loud, not just when she is upset, but also when she is happy which is most of the time. She has no control over the volume of her squeals and giggles and I love it! I hope Charlotte stays this happy go lucky for the rest of her life.
Joshy is also changing a lot as well. He is the shy one but has definitely been coming into his own over the last few months, just taking his time and doing it at his own pace. His favorite thing right now are trucks and cars. He can just sit at the table on the patio for at least an hour zooming them around gently and examining just how they work. I am now on the hunt for a train table for his room because I know he would just love one.
We as always had a great Fourth Of July. We celebrated with family at our house. I can not say the weather was the best because it was overcast but if truth be told that is one of my favorite parts of living by the beach, those overcast days that give you a break from the Summer heat. It may have been cloudy but I will take that over the heat wave on the the east coast any day. kurt was on the grill and made his awesome steaks kabobs that every always loves, mmmmm. We had a ton of sides to go along with them and by the end of the day I almost could not walk because I had eaten so much. The kids were so exhausted by the end of the day the passed out super early. Now my favorite part of the day was at night. You see our new house is one of those houses. The houses that all you have to do is step outside your front door and there are the fire works. They set off fireworks right on the beach just two miles in front of our house, so even though the kids fell asleep early Kurt and I got to enjoy a great show together just the two of us, which was pretty nice :)
