We said goodbye to Summer on Labor Day weekend at Uncle Mikes birthday party. I was not planning on going since Penelope was only six days old! But I was surprisingly feeling great, I am sure some of that had to do with the Percoset I was sent home with for pain management :) But honestly this c-section recovery was pretty awesome, when I left the hospital I was feeling pretty close to myself again and by two weeks later I was completely my old self and was having a great time playing with the kids again like I used to before I grew my enormous belly.
Anyway, the kids had a blast at the party and got completely wet and dirty but when you are a kid the more messy you are the more fun your having. Yes, watching it take place makes me cringe at first (even more so Kurt, hahaha, he has a very hard time with messy) but then I learn to relax at enjoy the smiles and giggles and remember they are only kids for so little time, there is plenty time to be clean when your an adult. Here is some pictures of the kids since it has been awhile since I have posted any. So I am very pleased and happy to say buh bye Summer and helllloooooo Fall! Bring on the pumpkin spice lattes, pumpkin patches and adorable Halloween costumes for the munchkins :)
