Charlotte Jane Diaz

Our Charlotte has arrived!!! On December 31st 2010 at 8:42am weighing a perfect 6lbs 12oz and we are oh so in love with our newest little princess. We just made it three babies all in 2010 :)I went in very early on New Years Eve morning for my scheduled repeat c-section only to find out I was already having contractions four to five minuets apart, our little girl was on her way scheduled c-section or not. We were scheduled for a 7:30am c-section but were bumped a whole hour do to an emergency, I have to say that might have been the longest extra hour of my whole life. The surgery went very smooth and easy, I was in and out with a baby all within 45 mins and done with recovery after about a hour. The whole birth always ends up being kind of a blur to me since so much seems to be going on but once I was back into my room all settled I was able to totally focus on and bond with my adorable new baby girl. It was such a awesome experience to recover and have Charlotte in the room with us this time, I never had a chance to experience this with the twins since they were in the NICU. I am recovering so much quicker from this c-section then from my previous one, with not much pain just some typical pain the first couple days which is of course to be expected but not much at all since I have been home. So far Charlotte is just a little angle, she has been a very easy going baby, makes a ton of cute little baby squeaky noises and is super alert when she is awake. Of course we have introduced her to Josh and Kate but since they are so young they honestly have no clue what is going on and I really do think it is easier this way, no jealousy so far is a good thing.
Being that this is our second time I have definitely learned a few lessons from Josh and Kate, one being to just enjoy and savor everyday I have with her because I have learned that once you have kids time goes by in the blink of an eye if you are not paying attention. So for now I am going to enjoy every minuet of her being so very tiny and enjoy every nap we have together with her on my chest. I am in no rush to have her push up, roll over, sit up, crawl and walk. I have learned that no matter if you push it or not all babies will and the sooner they are on the move the sooner you are chasing them around the house! I can not wait to watch all three babies grow together, I think it is such a neat situation to have all three of them so close in age, I am hoping they will all be as close as my brothers and I are. So without having to make you wait any longer here is the first of many more pictures to come of our sweet Charlotte.
