Fourth Of July

I don't think I could have asked for a better first Fourth of July for Katelyn and Joshua. If you know me well you know this holiday is my favorite holiday, well right up there with Thanksgiving, they are both neck and neck since I do enjoy a Thanksgiving feast oh so much. The weather here in Southern California was amazing, a perfect sunny 75 degrees! I love the Fourth of July it seems to kick summer off, it is a relaxed holiday, it is not about spending a ton of money on others but rather spending time with good friends and family, enjoying some good BBQ and a beautiful show of colorful fireworks to top the day off. Speaking of fireworks, I had these in the back of my mind the whole day, were the babies going to go hysterical at the loud boom and pop of them going off. Nope, not my babies!! They were such little troopers, especially taking into consideration the show didn't even start till a hour after their bedtime. Josh laid on his tummy on Kurts lap in amazement a the colorful show of lights from the beginning (he is like his Mommy) Katelyn noticed about half way through what was going on. That is so Katelyn there were so many other things going on at the same time, too much to look at! All in all it was a great day full of great memories.
